The majority of the general public resents whaling and commercial whaling has even been banned since 1986 by the International Whaling Commission (IWC). However, despite these facts, countries like Japan, Norway and Iceland still have an active whaling fleet.
Is it possible to mobilize, via Facebook and Twitter, a mass of people, enough to force a country like Japan to stop whaling? I hope so!
